What is Bluetooth®?
Bluetooth is the name of a wireless technology standard, which
allows different types of electronic devices to interact via short-range
radio waves. Because of the versatility of Bluetooth wireless
technology, enabled devices do not share all of the same profiles. The
BlueConnect® system is compatible with Bluetooth-enabled phones
that have a handsfree profile. The standard allows a wide range
of devices to communicate with each other, with minimal user effort. For

Are all Bluetooth phones compatible with the BlueConnect System?
No, the BlueConnect system is only compatible with Bluetooth-enabled
phones that have the handsfree profile and that have passed our testing
standards. Check the vehicle
compatibility list to see if your vehicle is available for your vehicle. |

Will a non-approved Bluetooth-enabled phone work?
If your phone is not on the approved phone list, the BlueConnect
system may not operate correctly or to its fullest ability. |

Why isn't my Bluetooth phone listed as approved?
Bluetooth phones that are listed as non-approved have not passed
Johnson Controls testing. You may view the phone matrix for the

Can I pair a Bluetooth adapter with the BlueConnect system?
No, BlueConnect is only compatible with cell phones that have
Bluetooth built in and that are listed as an approved phone. View

How do I pair my phone with BlueConnect?
There are special pairing instructions that need to followed to properly program or set up (“pair”) your cell phone with the BlueConnect device. View pairing instructions |

Will I be able to transfer my phonebook to the BlueConnect system?
No, the system does not support phonebook transfers via Bluetooth.
Please refer to your vehicle owner's manual for details on entering
contacts manually. |

Why doesn't the BlueConnect system automatically connect to my paired phone?
Please make sure that Bluetooth is set to be "ON" and/or "Discoverable" at
all times on your phone. Also, make sure that the vehicle is
marked as a "trusted" device. This will allow the vehicle to automatically
connect when it is in range. Please refer to your phone owner's manual
for details on adjusting the Bluetooth settings. |

My battery seems to drain more quickly when I use my Bluetooth.
Battery performance depends on many factors, including the features
and/or settings you select and use, including Bluetooth. Utilizing
the Bluetooth feature in some phones may result in draining the battery;
therefore, if you are not using the Bluetooth feature, turn it off
to preserve battery strength. |
