Enhance your driving safety with our lighted exterior rearview Signal® flashing
LED chevrons that alert drivers in your blind spot of your intention
to turn or change lanes. This vehicle
signal mirror allows you plenty of time to signal, thus
reducing your chances of having an accident. These LED
signal mirrors are ideal for towing boats or RVs, too. Order
a complete retrofit for your car, truck or motorcycle.
Mirror application for replacement glass is for POWERED LED
signal mirrors only. In the case of a non-powered vehicle
signal mirror, the “Universal Application” applies.
|
Signal® mirrors
use high-intensity LED lamps to turn ordinary exterior rearview
mirrors into safety features that command attention. When a turn
signal is activated, a flashing chevron < appears
in the corresponding side mirror to alert drivers in the "blind
spot" of your intentions. When emergency hazard flashers are used,
both mirrors flash warning signals. The mirrors function as conventional
rearview mirrors when the signals or hazards are not activated. |
| |
While
surrounding drivers see a bright, attention-getting display,
the driver of the vehicle equipped with Signal® mirrors
sees only a subtle tell-tale display—a reminder that the turn
signal mirrors are activated. |

Blind
Spot
Every year there are over 200,000 lane-change and merging
traffic accidents. Over 200 of these accidents result in
fatalities. Signal Mirrors are positioned at the eye level
of adjacent drivers making them more noticeable than conventional
tail lights. With the increased popularity of taller vehicles,
i.e. SUV's, trucks and mini-vans, a turn signal from the
tail lamp may be "hidden" by these larger
vehicles. The high intensity light from the Signal® mirror
may be the only visible indicator to drivers two or three cars back. |

Reaction
Time
Signal® mirrors use LED lamps which illuminate
1/5 of a second faster than conventional incandescent tail
lights. This provides drivers in the "blind spot" of the Signal® mirror
equipped vehicle an additional 17 feet of reaction distance
when traveling at 65 m.p.h. Thus, unlike other accessories
that soften an accident, Signal® mirrors actually
may help prevent one. |
